How much are you paid?
The League of Enchantment is a 100% volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our members generously donate their time, talents, and resources - including costumes and transportation - without receiving any compensation, ensuring that our efforts are truly driven by a passion for giving back.

Where do your donations go?
Your tax-deductible donations directly support our mission to bring joy to hospitalized children. We use these funds to purchase toys and assemble care packages, which are delivered by our regional teams to 2-5 hospitals every month. With each visit requiring over $300 in care package items, your generosity helps us continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these young patients.

What types of events do you participate in?
At the heart of our mission are regular visits to local children's hospitals and collaborations with Make-A-Wish to make dreams come true. But that's just the beginning! We also cheer on participants at charity races, make special appearances at community events, support special needs initiatives, facilitate toy and food drives, and add a charitable touch to local festivals - and that's still not all we do! 

How do I book you for an event?
To request an appearance, simply select the 'REQUEST US' tab at the top and select your event's region. Then, scroll down to find the 'APPEARANCE REQUEST' button, where you'll be able to fill out our online form.

Do I have to make a donation to have you at my event?
No, a donation is not required. We appreciate any contributions we receive, but we're committed to supporting charitable events and causes that align with our mission free of charge.

Can I sponsor the League?
Absolutely! We welcome the opportunity to discuss this further. Please reach out to us at leagueofenchantment@gmail.com, and our Vice President of Fundraising will be in touch with you promptly.

Is this a costume club?
No, our primary mission is to spread joy and smiles as a charity group, focusing on visits to children and bringing happiness to those we meet.

How do I join the League?
To join, simply select the ‘JOIN US' tab at the top and select your region. Then, scroll down to find the 'MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION' button, where you'll be able to fill out our online form.

How do you provide safety for your members and the people you work with?
To ensure a safe and positive experience for all, every member undergoes a rigorous background check and is expected to uphold our comprehensive Code of Conduct. Additionally, we offer specialized training to support members in developing their interaction and engagement skills, empowering them to confidently connect with families.

What characters are accepted?
The League’s characters are as diverse as its members. Our primary focus is on superheroes and princesses, but we also welcome Star Wars, Ghostbusters, and everything in-between.

What are your costume standards?
To ensure an authentic experience, every costume worn by our members undergoes a rigorous evaluation and approval process. Our commitment is to deliver accurate and immersive character portrayals, preserving the magic for all those we meet.

I don't sew or make costumes. Where can I get one that will be approved?
Many members purchase costumes at a number of online cosplay suppliers such as ProCosplay, SimCosplay or even Amazon. 

Do I have to be “in character?”
For an unforgettable experience, we ask our volunteers to fully inhabit their characters, remaining in-character to the best of their ability throughout their appearance. By authentically embracing their roles, they help bring the magic to life for all who interact with them.

What are the minimum requirements for volunteering?
We encourage all members to participate in at least three events annually, with over 50 opportunities available per region each year, spanning weekdays and weekends. Additionally, there are numerous behind-the-scenes roles for those who prefer to contribute in other ways.

Do you have any age restrictions?
We welcome members of all ages! While our standard membership has an 18+ age requirement, we offer a Junior Membership program specifically designed for younger enthusiasts. With parent authorization and accompaniment, Junior Members can participate in our activities. To learn more or enroll your Junior Member, please reach out to your local region for details.

I don't have any costumes but I still want to help. Can I?
We enthusiastically welcome support members to join our team, contributing their time and talents both at events and behind the scenes. These invaluable individuals play a vital role in our mission, and we're grateful for their dedication and enthusiasm.

I already participate in a similar group, can I still join?
The League welcomes members from similar organizations to join our ranks. However, to maintain neutrality and avoid conflicts of interest, leaders of comparable organizations are not eligible for membership.

Is the League interested in expanding into other areas?
We're excited to grow the League's reach and impact! If you're passionate about bringing joy to your community and are interested in establishing a regional team, we'd love to hear from you.
